Cartoon illustration of two women sitting together at a table in a cozy autumn setting. One woman comforts her visibly upset friend. Two coffee mugs read “Be Kind” and “Be Authentic.” The title “What Would You Do?” appears on a pink brushstroke in the upper left.

Let’s put a little moral dilemma on the table today.

You discover that your best friend’s husband is having an affair. You have proof. But your friend has recently been through a serious personal crisis and is finally beginning to recover.

Do you tell her immediately, or do you wait until she’s in a better place?

On one hand, she deserves to know the truth. On the other, you know that telling her right now could make an already difficult situation even harder.

Is honesty always the right thing to do immediately, or can timing be part of doing the right thing?

I have my own thoughts, but I want to hear yours. There’s no need to agree with me—or with each other. Just tell me what you would do and why.

Tomorrow’s blog is going to be a little different, and I thought a good debate would be a fitting way to lead into it. ❤️

Welcome to Just Guyton — a little corner of the internet where I write about life as it happens. The good, the messy, the funny, the unexpected, and everything in between. No particular theme. No pretending to have it all figured out. Just life, one day and one story at a time.
